Ecstatic Dance is both an umbrella term and a practice in its own right. It includes modalities such as Movement Medicine, 5Rhythms and Open Floor. More recently, Ecstatic Dance has also evolved into its own scene. You can go to an Ecstatic Dance around the world, which has the same or similar format
A DJ set often follows a short opening circle, enabling dancers to dive deep into their own experience. The music follows waves of energy - beginning gently, rising in intensity and coming back down to a place of rest
